Writer, Designer, Proprietor
“Stefan is a nut case, in the mold of Rolly Crump and Joe Rohde.” – Bob Gurr
I’m a show writer, graphic designer and all-around creative specializing in the themed entertainment industry. Since moving to Los Angeles last year, I’ve worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, the Hettema Group, Rethink Attractions, the Miziker Entertainment Group and Rhythm & Hues Special Projects. I’ve written scripts, brainstormed attractions, laid out rides, designed posters and animated pitch reels. It’s been a busy year!
Things I bring to the table: deep pop culture knowledge, a strong writing background, an ability to synthesize new information quickly, and a vivid visual imagination. I like to think I’m easy to get along with. My ego stays at home – I just like to do good work with good people.
Prior to moving to the west coast, I spent 10 years in New York, working as a designer for such agencies as Mother New York, Iris and US Concepts. Clients have included Nike, Alienware, Dell, Stella Artois, Target, Nintendo and many more. In my time there, I worked on everything from graphic wraps for tractor trailers to posters for grindhouse no-budget classics like “Class of Nuke ‘Em High.”
Outside the studio, I enjoy Tiki bars, barbecue, Disneyland, cooking and listening to my hi-fi. I collect wood carvings and love vintage transportation posters in all their forms. All of my interests inspire my design, especially music and 20th century poster art.
I live in Pasadena with my wife, two sociopathic cats and a small daughter.
